IE Preps Magazine High School Football POWER 20 Regular *Regular Season Finale* (Nov. 7, 2015)

  1. Corona Centennial – Twenty years from now, we will be talking about the “Matt Logan years”. The Huskies finish the regular season undefeated and end it by beating one of the best teams around Norco, with no problems. 67-20.  (10-0)
  2. Vista Murrieta – The Broncos beat Temecula Valley 55-20 to end the regular season undefeated in league. Another season another trip to CIF. (9-1)
  3. Chino Hills – The other Huskies end the season undefeated in the Baseline league by beating Etiwanda 45-21. Coach Betchel and his Chino Hills  “300” gave nothing and took everything this season.  (9-2)
  4. Heritage – The Patriots finish their season undefeated and soundly beat Lakeside 44-6. The program has been dominant for the past 6 seasons now, are there still any non-believers? (10-0)
  5. Norco – Losing to Centennial 67-20, knocks Norco down a few spots but not out. The Cougars have a good team that on any given night can beat almost anyone. (8-2)
  6. Cajon – Finish the season with a win over A.B. Miller 61-26.  Coach Rogers has taken his Cowboys to new heights and should get major consideration for Coach of the Year consideration. (9-1)
  7. Redlands East Valley – REV closes the season out with a strong win over Yucaipa 53-17. This is still one of the best teams in the Inland Empire, the playoffs are where Bruich’s shine. (8-2)
  8. Summit – The SkyHawks are undefeated and finish things off by beating Fontana 39-7. This team is talented and the playoffs await.  (11-0)
  9. Upland – The Scotts finish the regular season beating Rancho Cucamonga 31-21. This team may be a year away, but played hard all season. Look for them to lean on their run game in the playoffs.(7-3)
  10. Murrieta Valley – The NightHawks beat Great Oak 42-10.  This team has been a BIG surprise an Coach George Wilson could get some Coach of the Year votes himself. (8-2)
  11. Rancho Cucamonga– The Cougars lost to Upland 31-21 to end the regular season.  This team is battle tested and led by QB Angel Matute, will be a tough out in the playoffs. (7-3)
  12. Citrus Hill – The Hawks finish the regular season, undefeated in league by beating Tahquitz 45-0. Citrus Hill should make some major noise in the playoffs. (8-2)
  13. Rancho Verde – The Mustangs go through league undefeated and beat Arlington 45-7. Coach Steinberg’s Mustangs will be ready to run in the playoffs. (8-2)
  14. Serrano – The Diamondbacks beat Burroughs 47-20 and get ready for the playoffs. (8-2)
  15. Moreno Valley – The Vikings have landed…and finish a perfect regular season with a win over Vista Del Lago 40-0. Let’s be real, this team has been the best kept secret in the IE, and Coach Ted Wadkins and his “Super Backer” Kevin Meitzenheimer are a mission. (10-0)
  16. Redlands – The Terriers are getting better and better every week. They win a big game against Carter 28-15, and get their ticket to the playoffs. Coach Walker and his staff are among the best and will have the dogs ready to bite in the playoffs. (7-3)
  17. Paloma Valley – Beat Temescal Canyon 69-28 and enter the POWER 20. Coach Bert Esposito is slept on and so is his team. They only lost to Heritage by a touchdown, this team could be a bracket buster in the playoffs. (7-3)
  18. *Tie* Pomona/Chino – The Red Devils beat La Puente 61-14 and end the season undefeated in league.  Pomona is back in the playoffs, its time to hunt. (9-2) Chino has played big boy football all seasons under new Coach Jesse Ceniceros. They end the regular season with a 56-14 win over Walnut and enter the playoffs on a roll. (8-2)
  19. Diamond Ranch – The Panthers beat Los Altos 24-18 to make the playoffs and enter the POWER 20. Look for QB Joe Sebastian to get hot in the playoffs. (8-3)
  20. Colony – The Titans go undefeated in league and end it by beating Don Lugo 35-14. Colony had a brutal pre-season schedule and hopefully that will pay off in the playoffs. They are still the champs until someone beats them and enter the POWER 20. (7-3)
